2019 UITP Summit: attoma puts design at the heart of the mobility of the future

Head to Stockholm from 9-12 June for a very special edition of the biggest international gathering for the public transport industry.

Organised every two years by the international Association of Public Transport (UITP), this summit gathers public transport and urban/peri-urban mobility professionals, to show visitors the latest trends and innovations in the sector, to exchange ideas and to build solutions adapted to the challenges of the 21st century.

This 63rd edition of the summit is dedicated to the “Art of public transport,” and has set its sights even higher than its predecessors: the event will host over 350 exhibitors, 2,500 delegates and 15,000 visitors from all over the world, offering new exhibition spaces such as the “Design Zone.” Developed under the supervision of Giuseppe Attoma, founder of attoma and president of the UITP’s Design and Culture platform, this open and convivial space aims to demonstrate the key role of design to provide innovative, sustainable and user-centred mobility services.

The Design Zone will therefore serve as attoma’s platform to unveil the exclusive project it has undertaken for SNCF Transilien: designing tactile screens for new-generation emergency call terminals, which will soon be deployed in stations located on the outskirts of the Île-de-France region. This project was an opportunity for the agency to leverage its unique expertise in service design and information design to offer users real-time journey information that will be both practical and accessible.

Come and meet us at UITP Global Public Transport Summit 2019!
